About me:

For over 40 years I have been a professional session musician. I have performed live on stage and in the recording studio with many artists including Tori Amos, Everything But The Girl, Indigo Girls, The Pixies, Lush, Brendon Perry, Narada Michael Walden, Jaki Graham and my own sister Heidi Berry when she was signed to 4AD/Warner Bros and before that to Creation records.

As well as my extensive studio work and live experience I have also been an instrumental tutor both privately and on contemporary popular music courses at both Further Education and Higher Education levels.

I have taught on the Artist Development Program at the British Academy of New Music in London, guitar and bass at the Lambeth Academy in London, and for over 10 years I was the head guitar tutor on Access to Music foundation and pre-foundation courses at Redbridge College, London, where I also taught composition, music theory and general musicianship.

I play guitar and keyboards to a professional standard and I have good working knowledge of most other instruments both in contemporary and classical genres. I am also a composer and have written many compositions in the classical, jazz, blues, rock, metal, jazz fusion and other contemporary musical idioms.

I have composed a complete musical soundtrack for the independent film ‘Burying The Dead’ directed by Klaus Fried and been a musical editor on ‘Billy’s Wake’ also directed by Klaus Fried which was shown on Channel 4 television in Great Britain. More recently I have been the series composer for ‘The Cliff Dwellers’, a Sci-Fi Motion Graphic novel produced by Ralph King in Los Angeles CA.

The purpose of this website is to offer my professional services as a studio recording and live session musician and as a composer. From this site I aim to continue to offer my teaching to students both experienced and beginner from around the world via Skype or Zoom and to publish my own works online where they might serve as a source of enjoyment and perhaps education

culture and  collaboration.
